Light of Day Coaching, LLC is a life coaching service dedicated to the client at a communication crossroads.
I created LODC for the moments when something needs to be said but the words fail us, for the times when we think we’re being clear, but the intended message is not getting across.
The repercussions of buried or unclear words are often painful and long-lasting. finding the right ones to say can change your direction, strengthen a meaningful bond, or simply relieve the enormous burden of the unspoken.
We use our words to relate our needs, fears, joys, and gratitude throughout the day with everyone from loved ones to work colleagues to people whose support and services we rely on. Every single day. If you’re struggling with something to say, whether it’s at your next meeting with your manager, or during a bump on the road with a friend or colleague, whether you need to clarify a misunderstanding or express your gratitude, LODC is for you.

What is coaching?
At its core, coaching is a partnership built solely to help you, the client, achieve a specific goal. You may be on a heath or wellness journey or may be contemplating a career change. You may be feeling the need to readjust priorities or remove the clutter that stands between you and your next best move. These are only a few examples in which a coach might be just the partner you need.
A coach is trained to help you uncover your own strengths and values, heighten your awareness, and help you move past the obstacles that are in the way of your growth and fulfillment. We use an arsenal of tools, all of them carefully and mindfully applied to serve each step in your journey.
While my specialty is in communication, I am trained as a general life coach and can partner with you on your next steps in your career, creative, or personal path.
What is coaching not?
While coaching touches on personal themes, emotions, and patterns, there is an important distinction between a coaching relationship vs. therapy, counseling, and consulting relationships. Essentially, a therapist, counselor, or consultant is the trained expert in their field, and they work with you, the client, from a place of expertise, be it to diagnose, advise, or consult. In a coaching relationship, you, the client, are the expert in your own life. The coaching relationship assumes that you are creative and resourceful, and together, you and your coach work to uncover values and strengths that will help you better align with your goals.
During the coaching process, certain pervasive or persistent obstacles may arise that are outside of the realm of the coaching relationship. As your coach, I strictly adhere to the ICF code of ethics, which includes my commitment to recognizing any issues that may deserve the attention of a therapist, counselor or consultant, or where another coach with a different specialty might better serve you.
